Wally Schwab is among the best-known ceramics artists working in the Pacific Northwest. His work has been exhibited internationally, and he is in a number of prestigious collections, both in this country and elsewhere. No stranger to teaching, Schwab was the longtime head of the ceramics department at ±¬ÁÏÍøRock Creek, and currently runs an apprenticeship program through his own studio. The works in PCC's collection reveal Schwab's gift for crafting elegantly simple forms embellished with a range of rich and beautiful colors. As he notes, "I use a great number of glazes in an effort to incorporate as much life as possible into each form." Wally Schwab
