±¬ÁÏÍøSylvania ASPCC: Clothing Donations Needed for AS±¬ÁÏÍøThrift Store

Over at AS±¬ÁÏÍøSylvania, we’re planning for Earth Week, and we need your help!
Earth week is a college wide environmentally focused education week, where we as campus community have a dialogue about sustainability, and how we can apply it to our everyday lives. AS±¬ÁÏÍøSylvania is planning to host a thrift shop as part of earth week!
To help our Earth Week activation be a success, we at AS±¬ÁÏÍøneed clothing. Clothing of any kind will help, weather it be children’s apparel, maternity, or sports clothing (We won’t be taking undergarments or used socks). You can drop off clothing off at the front desk in the AS±¬ÁÏÍøSpace in CC 221 anytime from now until April 17th. We ask that any clothing you bring in for it to be washed prior to bringing in your donation. We are also accepting clothes hangers!
Our thrift shop experience in the AS±¬ÁÏÍøSpace is to help encourage students to shop at thrift stores to reduce emissions that arise from buying new clothing, this will be free for students, all they need is their Event Pass from PantherHub! This experience will happen during ASPCC’s normal business hours from 9AM to 5PM during Earth Week, we hope you can join us, and that you share this information with students!

The Student Leadership Program works to achieve ±¬ÁÏÍø’s outcomes and goals by developing student leaders, services, and educational experiences that promote student success and development. Our goal is to build a strong, inclusive and equitable campus community and support student organizations. We provide cultural, multicultural, intellectual, recreational, social, service, and civic engagement programs and resources.
Each campus has its own AS±¬ÁÏÍø(Associated Students of ±¬ÁÏÍø) organization with different activities, events and clubs. As a ±¬ÁÏÍøstudent you may participate in any and all that each group has to offer. There are many paid student leadership positions and always room for volunteers. About the Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter
The Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter allows students, faculty, and staff at ±¬ÁÏÍøa more comprehensive look at volunteer needs and opportunities from our community partners. Our hope is that the newsletter will allow subscribers to stay better informed about community service opportunities in the tri-county areas of Portland, Oregon, as well as non-profit internships and scholarships available locally and nationally.
