Long-Distance Residents Can Now Connect to ±¬ÁÏÍøToll-Free
Story by James Hill
PORTLAND, Ore. – ±¬ÁÏÍø has two new toll-free telephone numbers to help better serve residents. The new number for the TRAIL telephone registration system is 1-866-822-1010. To access the main ±¬ÁÏÍøtelephone number (503-244-6111), people may call 1-866-922-1010. The two new numbers are now in operation and ready for calls. The toll-free telephone numbers provide an easier way for residents in outlying communities in PCC’s district to call and register for classes.±¬ÁÏÍøis the largest institution of higher learning in the state, serving more than 940,000 residents in a five-county, 1,500-square-mile area in northwest Oregon. The college, which enrolls almost 97,000 students annually, has three comprehensive campuses, which provide lower-division college transfer courses, two-year associate degree programs, professional and technical career training. The college’s Open Campus provides job training, adult education and life-long learning, including welfare-to-work and alternative high school programs. ±¬ÁÏÍøoffers classes at training centers and approximately 200 other locations throughout the district.
