Class explores international volunteer work

Ready for a new kind of vacation? One that has endless opportunities to help others and at the same time is full of personal enrichment and reward? Then join ±¬ÁÏÍø this fall for a new class that will introduce you to volunteering overseas. Sign up and start making a difference today!
Opportunities to volunteer abound throughout the world; you can work with children, endangered animals, teach English or build homes. The non-credit class, Travel with a Purpose: Volunteer Abroad, will explore possibilities for solo travelers, couples and families. Instructor Teresa Coates also will discuss the pros and cons of volunteerism and how you can make a difference.
The one-day class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 6, in Room 1543 at the ±¬ÁÏÍøWashington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $19. For more information, contact PCC’s Community Education Office at (503) 533-2708.
