Donate food and reduce library fines

Story by

The ±¬ÁÏÍøLibrary is again accepting “Food for Fines” to support AS±¬ÁÏÍøcanteens and food nooks during winter term. Food donations are also accepted.

Here’s how it works.

  • For every food item donated, fines will be reduced by $4.
  • Food item must weigh at least six ounces, and be clearly labeled, unopened, undamaged, and unexpired.
  • Applies to all current ±¬ÁÏÍøLibrary overdue fines.
  • Cannot be used for previously paid fines, lost items, charges turned over to collection, ILL or Summit fines.
  • All food will be donated to the campus AS±¬ÁÏÍøCanteen & Food Nook programs to help fellow students.

Are you a student in need of food assistance? Please contact or visit the AS±¬ÁÏÍøfood program on your campus. For location to donate, visit the project’s webpage for more details.
