Hello and Привіт!

I’m Ksenia Everton! I’m Ukrainian, an environmentalist, a teacher, a biologist, and a learner. I love science, backpacking, reading, chocolate, traveling, borshch, my family, and my cats! I’m excited to be learning biology with you this term.

I’ve been teaching at ±¬ÁÏÍøsince 2010, and have taught several different classes, mostly at the Rock Creek campus. Since 2022 I have been teaching cell biology and anatomy and physiology courses at the Sylvania campus.

I currently teach aspiring health/medical professionals: BI112, Cell Biology, and BI231-BI233. In the past I have also taught the Biology Principles Series.

Check out the pages to the right if you have questions about the specific courses I teach.

The bottom of this page lists the sections I am currently teaching or am scheduled to teach.

Two people backpacking through misty mountains, near a small lake. Patchy snow behind the hikers.

My husband and I backpacking in Mt. Rainier National Park. It was really early in the season (beginning of July) so the weather was moody — a lot of mist and fog all week.

Two friends and I backpacking Mt. Hood. It is the first week of October so we had no planned for THIS much snow! It was very exciting.

Beautiful seaweed (which is a kind of protist (type of an organism) — not a plant!) on southern Olympic coast in Washington state. The diversity and beauty of these organisms here is incredible!
