Course assessment
Course Assessments verify that high school Dual Credit courses are consistent with PCC’s academic expectations. They also foster collaboration between high school instructors and ±¬ÁÏÍøfaculty, promoting professional development and ensuring students receive a college-level education.
Assessment Components
- Classroom observation(s): The ±¬ÁÏÍøDual Credit Faculty Liaison visits the high school class to observe instruction and classroom dynamics.
- Syllabus and materials review: Evaluation of the course maters and teaching materials to ensure alignment with PCC’s curriculum
- Review of graded student work: Analysis of student assignments and assessments to confirm that grading standards meet college-level expectations.
- Workshops: Participating in workshops may be recommended to address specific areas for improvement and/or to share best practices.
